Greetings to all advocates of quality education! I'm Amanda Remmen, affectionately known as Mandy, a devoted mother of four incredible humans who have enriched my life beyond measure. As a leader within the PTA and an active participant in various district initiatives, I've dedicated myself to enhancing the educational journey of every scholar in our community. Now, I'm stepping up to run for the school board of Vista Unified School District, driven by a vision of inclusive, equitable education and a commitment to fostering collaboration among all stakeholders. Join me as we reimagine education together and build a brighter future for our children, one vote at a time!

  • Leadership in PTA: Held roles within the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), including President of our Districts Council PTA since 2022. As well as multiple roles on Vista High PTSA, MVHS PTSA, Rancho Minerva PTA, Beaumont PTA for over 11 years.
  • Active Engagement: Participated in district initiatives like the District Advisory Committee for Consolidation, Equity Council, and District Community School Steering Committee.
  • Involvement: Contributed to DPAC, PBIS team, Equity walk team, Arts Steering Committee, and Magnet Steering committee.
  • Advocacy: Spoke out on issues like school consolidations, inequity, and school closures at board meetings.
  • Professional Experience: Worked at Chilis in Vista, organizing fundraising for St. Jude's. Small Business owner Involvement in local event and community.
